Our Service Desk people hate SCCM remote control, and are not big fans of VNC. Unfortunately, it means I need to find something else with similar performance. like this and now want them to issue a full refund on this and am considering cancelling the purchase altogether. We just added new licenses and they somehow managed to "sneak" them up to Remote Support instead of DMRC, and apparently the PO has already been submitted and cleared - I wasn't able to catch it in time. However, the exact same thing happened again this past week. I assumed it was just a mistake with no bad intentions, but I was still somewhat skeptical. They backed it out, apologized, and we got what we needed. However, they did it anyways, and the person who signed the PO (who had no idea what any of this stuff did) signed a PO for Remote Support, which I explicitly asked them not to quote. So, last time our software was up for renewal, a year or so ago, they tried to "up-convert" our DMRC licensing to more expensive Remote Support, and I declined. Slimy sales people who constantly try to upsell you to NT Utilities (now ambiguously called Remote Support).While the performance of the product has remained stellar, there's two things they've done since being taken over by Solar Winds which have annoyed us to death: We've used Dameware Mini-Remote Control for years, long before they were bought out by Solar Winds. ![]()
